Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

Just a mini tip, Spray the bolts down with Kroil, PB Blaster, etc. etc. Your jeeps is very clean.....admittedly cleaner than mines 🙄But it makes the unbolting process much better! Especially if you spray them and then start the jeep for like 15 seconds it makes it super super easy! Thats what i did the 1st time when i changed my cats after 200k miles
And copper anti-seize does wonders if and when you need to do any service on your jeep 😁
Also....dayum a Rad. skid ? Never knew of that! I also never thought about that !

Oh I've had the downpipe off 5 or 6 times so far this year, I've got the process down. All good tips, though.

I just put a new unobtainium Mopar radiator in and everything else has skid plates, so I figured why not radiator skid. Protect that plastic rad bottom from branches and ice if nothing else. Probably not necessary in the least.

Seems kind of pricy for what it is but I found a coupon code somewhere.

Dang why so many times ?
I thought the 3 i did was enough within a year😆 3rd time being me just going with an American racing headers Header setup cause i got tired of going with stock replacements since the Catalyst part tumbled inside the pipe.....converter?.. Anyways a few thousand miles later within the past month& a half and so far no issues and many many cycles of them getting red and almost orange hot 😀! I'll see how great they are but im super super happy! Especially since i only paid 400$ brand spanking new !

You saying you got this for $400?

I've been eyeballing it for a while but wasn't sure how it fit around the oil pan with an engine skid factored in, plus the MML, tummy tuck, etc. Nothing is in factory positioning anymore.

Need pics.

Changed out the vacuum check valves. Thanks to @B1Toad for the info on the valve to use. These Motorcraft ones are identical to the OEM ones. Hopefully now under load the HVAC won't move up to the defrost vents. I've got the top off so it will be Monday before I can test it.

Also had to change my radiator, again. This is the 3rd one in 6 months. Stupid junk O'Reilly ones. I've gotten the time down to less than an hour from start to finish. I'm going to be on the hunt for a Mopar one this week.

You might want to look into a Denso radiator. Some here have had success with them. While not a Wrangler, I put one in my ‘99 Silverado last year and the quality seemed good, reasonably priced and have had no issues.

Changed oil and filter, added a quick drain set up because of skid, rotated tired and threw on my painted centramatics in front and graphene coated the wheels, and cleaned the belly skids with Dark Fury cleaner- all in one hour and 20 minutes.

Headed to test drive and check lugs by hand. Hard lessons aren’t easily forgotten.

Water sheds right off the aluminum.

Wheels will get more work later.

I don’t run any wheel weights or balancers in the rear anymore- Once you run centramatics the tires will cut so perfect that you can run them on the rear without any weight- increases power a tad.

Might add a cool pic in few.

The centramatics really that much better than static balancing? I know my dad ran them on his semi, but never heard anyone run them on a 4-wheeler (as dad would have said).

I’d say as good- balanced is balanced.

They will true a tire in 50-100 miles.

I think because they adjust you end up with better tires -

We left to go on a trip with some new tires and nearly turned around because of the vibrations -by the time we went 35 or 40 miles it was hardly noticeable

Made it to the ol’ swimmin’ hole-

Man I love being out here in nature in the quiet of the evening- really do. So peaceful. No better way to get here either.

Yes sir I did! Not too long before I bought my 400$ set, I placed an order through vivid, longstory short the odds were on my side, canceled that order i did through vivid racing and saved alot of money 😆

Bear with me here with the pics,I basically just ate like a full 3 course meal before getting under my jeep so pics might be a bit bad😆
I will admit I am afraid to discover that once I get an engine skid I bet this system may interfere with an engine skid,I wonder if a 1" mml could help?
To note I'm at Essentially stock height and no bump stops

Look at pretty blue color 🤤 Anyways here's some more pics.....😆

Here's my fist for 🤜🏼scale ! My thumb was touching the cat.⬇️

At full stuff my drive shaft u joint likes to kiss my pretty header.....hopefully once I install a body&motor mount lift it should help with clearance along with more bump stop once I go taller it'll nit hit,An HP30 with all the listed mods might beg to differ🙃
Anyways i digress...more pics

The ujoint and header kissing action I talked about.....not too bad all things considered, wasn't too happy when I heard and seen that when I was out on a trail 🙃

Hopefully this helps if anyone is seeking this setup,I'll see how it clears with an engine skid,if anything an oil pan skid might have to do(the one you directly bolt on the pan),I've already hit that and especially my tranny oil pan, once again I'll see how it all pans out 😉once im there(hehe....."pans out "😆 ahhh so funny.....)
Any questions regarding this header and cat setup are welcome! 😁
Edit- I can most likely push the cat pipe up once I get my 3" exhaust setup,I just pushed it up a bit more since my cat pipe is kinda sorta being hanged with a clothes hanger wire😅......(because of the steering thats now been replaced) Death wobble at 90 mph got the better of it and made the hanger break due to the lack of support and the mufflers weight leveraging on that single hanger that no longer exists......

What year is your Jeep?

What did you do with the O2 sensors?

They're still there,I just bought some extensions from Amazon! Flopped 1 of the o2 sensor wiring since one of them was essentially right on top of the transmission on the drivers side so just I flopped it over to the passenger side and used an extension there
with that said I think I used one of the upstream sensors on the downstream side since it had a shorter wire (It was a spare)

Here's the link to said sensors

I see now in the pictures on Summit's website there are spots for the sensors.

It's back to $1650 now 😆

Yeah i got mines through their scratch and dent section, it wasnt scratched or dented, just missing the "American racing headers" Logo and a clamp, I could care less about the logo ! The headers design makes it obvious its theirs! the added power gains with their design seems to work too so i cant complain! I needed new cats so this all worked out good for me 😁
Edit- To note, A noticeable sound difference was pretty big since there's only one cat, so its definitely a bit louder...

Helluva steal. I moved from OH to MN about 8 years ago for work and there are only a few things I miss... Cedar Point, Waffle House, and a local Summit retail store. Used to see some good shit in the scratch and dent section and picking up parts same day was so nice.

Yes sir it is!
Had to include the waffle house 🤣 But yeah being about 20 mins from summit has it querks(i also pass by it everyday when i go to&from work)......it leaves me broke...and the perks is that i get cheaper stuff compared to paying full price so it kinda cancel's out since im essentially am saving money right ?..... right 😅? and some of the employees know me by my name too and i get a smile 😁 All in all it cancels out...(boy math)

Man you are in for a blast. It really is a joy.

Coop-how much for the little girl? (John Belushi line) - she is going to be a heartbreaker.

Grandkids are something else!!!!!

Her mom might sell her, her dad not so much as she has him wrapped around her little finger.

Me I spoil them all and send them home!!!!!!

😂😂
