Anyone have one of these? I ran across it a few days ago going down the ole YT rabbit holes. Seems to be a few diffrent variations by various "vendors." However they're all some form of "chinesium." Been tempted to pull the trigger and goof off with it and let my boys (13 & 7) have some fun with it. Just wanted to get some possible insight from folks around here if you have one.

I keep seeing these at Tractor Supply. I just can't justify that price for something so cheaply made.

That's exactly the boat I'm in. Been looking on FB MP and I've seen a few used ones in the $1,500 range. However I'm sure they've been beat. I've also found a few "dealers" locally. However pretty much every review of the dealer is good awful. Than there are the super sketchy websites that have them listed at just cheap enough, that makes me think..."Yup, that's a scam for sure. I'm not sending y'all my money"

Yep, it’s too much money for something that is what I suspect to be shoddy quality. I’d just as soon go buy then a used Honda ATV or something that I know was built to last.

This is more of a gimmick to me.

there seem to be different versions of these things, I don't know how different they are but there are cues like the bars around the back of the tub, rear fender flares. Both seem to appear both with the more Jeep like vertical slots as well as the rectangular mesh grill.

Both are Chinese junk so I don't know how much it really matters, but from what I understand, some are front engine and some are mid-engine, some have a more complete floorpan so your footwell isn't open to branches and brush coming in.

I'm looking at used ones to get one for the kids for Christmas. What I'm most interested in is after-sale support, which I know is probably ridiculous to expect for either one but if there's one that is better off in that area, that's the one I want to get.

They sold these up here at princess auto for around $2500cad

I’ve looked at them a couple times. It’s the only “Jeep” my wife has gotten excited about. She wants it to bop around our farm property.

Check out peck brothers on YouTube. They beat the ever loving snot outta one. Now they are rebuilding it with an old 4 wheeler, a la grind hard plumbing (also YouTube)

I kind of want one for me. The mountains are 45min-an hour from home... slow days could terrorize my neighbors land scaping and the local golf course. Be fun as hell

we ended up getting one.

The 3 major vendors I've come across are Massimo (the one at Tractor Supply), Coolster, and X-PRO.

I believe they all have the same Chinese 125cc engine, which may be a Honda clone.

As far as I can tell, they all have IFS and a chain driven solid rear axle which is set up to move like a swingarm (since you wouldn't want the rear sprocket to twist out of plane in articulation). Coolster and Massimo have the engine in the front. The X-PRO is a mid-engine, so the chain drive is much shorter and supposedly isn't as likely to throw the chain, but I don't know how often it happens with the other options. The Coolster does have a chain/sprocket guard so if you encounter a ground clearance issue, at least you're not digging the chain and sprocket into the obstacle.

We got the Coolster because we have a lot of elevation change in our property and I wanted some weight in the front to prevent a backward rollover going up a hill. I had it delivered to my parents house so I could assemble it and keep it hidden until Christmas, and they dropped it off with a liftgate 18 wheeler.

I had to mount the windshield, the roll bar, the coilovers and the wheels/tires. It definitely has all the telltale signs of Chinese manufacturing - crappy instructions, disorganized and occasionally missing hardware, weird greasy coating on the tires, and it smells like Harbor Freight. Just look at the translation quality in the troubleshooting chapter of the manual.

Christmas eve I trailered it home.

So far the issues we've encountered are that the speedometer doesn't work, it would stall occasionally when stopped and was losing fuel through the bowl overflow. I adjusted the float yesterday and it hasn't stalled since, but I haven't followed the kids on it to see if it was still dripping.

Brakes are hydraulic discs, with a single brake for the rear axle. Transmission is a sequential 3 speed with reverse and a centrifugal clutch. First gear is annoyingly low, and in third it is capable of going faster than I would want to go on it. The kids mostly use 2nd and it seems to start from there just fine as long as you're not trying to climb a grade.

On the speedometer I've gotten as far as printing off the electrical schematic. It hasn't turned out to big a big issue because the boys have actually so far shown reasonable judgement on how fast they should go just by feel.

The 9 year old fits it perfectly, but the 6 year old has to lean forward to reach the steering wheel.

9 year old driving, pictured with one of his friends that lives about 0.6 miles and three intersections away.

It doesn't seem to be as bad with the kids in it, but with an adult, the weight distribution is so rear-heavy that with the solid rear axle, the front tires will just slide on the ground with the Jeep going straight instead of turning. I might take some pressure out of the front tires to see if I can bias some grip more forward, but if it's that bad with a front engine I can't imagine what the mid-engine version would be like.

They've burned through about 5 gallons of gas so far. Did the first oil change and went over critical fasteners yesterday. Will report any future issues.

Update: still stalling when stopped and leaking out of the breather hose. So I guess I need to adjust the float some more, maybe. Seems to be worst when it's been running for a while and it's good and hot.

Like after uninterrupted hours of this.

Neighbor got 1 for the 8yr old Grand Daughter. It lasted 2 Days, clutch burned up. I believe it is a GY6 Chinese Motor which is a clone of an older Honda Scooter Motro/Trans. It must be an X-Pro as the engine is in the rear under the seats. Not the cheapest build, but def not a Honda or even Polaris. Was delivered locally by Semi, he met them in a parking lot as our road is a dead end. Some Assembly required and a heavy crate to man handle. seemd like a crazy amount of money, but then a GoCart aint cheap these days.

We bought an x-pro from Amazon. We love it! It does come on a trailer truck in a crate an you have to build it. Very little instructions but we got it. Semi-automatic 3 speed with reverse.
Expensive yes, worth it absolutely! I will say not really for kids, it does go on two wheels when going super fast an they go to turn..
