Breather bellows

Has anyone used a sealed bellows to move away from hoses on breather applications; such as axle vents, transmission vents, etc?

I bet someone, somewhere, has. i also bet you're looking for more than whether or not they've been used.

All I can add is that I think most hoses are stronger than bellows when physically attacked by lord-knows-what especially when off roading.

I haven't, but I'm curious what problem you're trying to solve? I couldn't see wanting this on my axle vs a vent tube personally. Is just "in the way" hose a part of it, or are you looking for something else? I trust the hose on there not to leak far more than bellows, as I service them regularly on the I/O of our boat to make sure they aren't cracked at the fold.

I was mostly thinking of using on the transmission vent on the NSG, just to make it a bit tidier in the tunnel.

I'd stick with the OE rubber hose which is more rugged than vinyl.

One theory the axle is sealed so water and contaminates don't get in. Another theory is that when the bellows expands it pressurized the tube and causes the seals to leak. I've never tried them.

It has been a topic of discussion up here many times. Unfortunately the only product that is sized adequately for our axles is a bladder kit from Spicer and it is quite cost prohibitive.
