If Ford can do it right, Jeep could have some competition

This is old news, no? I read about the Bronco coming back months ago I feel like.

I'm curious to see what it will look like. I'd never buy one, because I know they'll be too big for the type of places I want to go with it. However, I think the Jeep Wrangler needs some competition! Competition is good!

Was a rumor until 2 days ago. They been saying the bronco was coming back for about the last 5 years. So yea I guess old news if you believed the rumors until 2 days ago.

I had a '74 with a 302 and a C4 automatic. I can say that it was probably the best 4X4 I've ever had. It had alot of power and would go anywhere. You couldn't hurt the thing. Those old Broncos had a wheelbase similar to a Jeep so it could anywhere the Jeep could go and more due to its stock V8 power.

I had all 3 tops for it, soft, hard and half. I wish I had never sold it 10 years ago :(

I have no doubt it will. I'm not a fan of modern vehicles. I won't deny some of them look good, but I don't care for all the electronics, bells and whistles, etc.

In the picture floating around it has very nice body lines. If it’s a 2 door with hard and soft top options it’s gonna be very cool. I’m worried it’s a too niche market so they may only offer it in the 4 door variant. The picture ford released tho under the tarp looks to be a 2 door based on the size.

If it doesn't have a removable top, it's absolutely garbage in my book.

I wan to see more 4x4 vehicles with removable tops. Right now the Wrangler is the only production 4x4 with a removable top... In the U.S. at least.

Hence the reason for my post haha. It would be awesome if it’s gonna be removable with hard and soft top options just like the old Bronco. Long wait yet, but it looks hopeful!

Agreed, I would consider one myself it it was convertible and had a V-8. Or at least as much power as my old 72 Bronco had. That thing was a monster, and I agree with @CodaMan I kick myself everyday for selling it.

The one-up the Wrangler will always have though is the removable doors.

I know a lot of people on here don't remove their doors. But in the Summer, I take the doors off with the top, and it's the best thing ever. Having no doors just adds that much more to the experience!

Not to say you couldn't take the doors off any vehicle, but certainly not easily!

The old Bronco's had a cut out that you could put on instead of doors. Basically you bolted them to the hinges and they would go over the floor and back up to the striker. it would basically just cover the edges leaving it open and from there you could put soft doors on. So initially not as easy as the wrangler, but after you put in the door piece it was pretty easy, and you could go doorless too. But to your point not as easy as the wrangler but still really cool.
