Yes, if they are manned you stop and ask for your free cup of coffee.

Now you're going to get him into trouble.... Weight Stations are for commercial vehicles. If you are getting paid to transport something then you have to go across the scale.

People who have a Class 7&8 tractor but are pulling a RV if they have "Not For Hire" on the side and are towing it for personal use for example do not have to cross the scale.

I mean, I'm not saying I won't eat it. My diet is pretty basic. It's just like... i talk to a lot of people that would say their favorite food in the world is from a fast food joint. Like what. You could make a better cheeseburger with the cheapest ground beef at Walmart home cooked with just salt and pepper. C'mon. Lol

Totally agree.

I'm like @RINC I can pretty much back anything. I've been towing trailers since I was about 12 with a farm tractor and then in the Army I drove just about everything with wheels.
After the Army I was a longhaul truck driver and then got a job driving locally. Funny story, When I was applying for the job to be the state truck driver for the National Guard there were about 12 people who applied for the job. I was 1 of 3 who actually had a CDL and I was the only guy who could bump the dock on the first try (Means able to back up to the loading dock).

My favorite truck stop on the route is the Boise Stage Stop. Great Steak & Eggs breakfast. But I'll stop there and try the Chicken Fried Steak.
That route is if I go super slab the whole way. If I'm taking my time I will take two lane as much as I can.

The lot lizards of Boise probably still talk about you

OK here is a LONGER route but more 2 lane....

Okay. I will seldomly eat fast food. But it's fast food.

The amount of people that have told me Whataburger, chipotle, Qdoba, and in-n-out are amazing is just silly. Like have you never eaten at a real restaurant

I’d eat at whataburger 100 times out of 100 if my choices are whataburger vs Culver’s and I have a Culver’s 5 minutes from my house.

The hardest part for me coming from the PNW and going thru central WA/OR/NV & such is that there aren't a lot of roads in a lot of these places. And where there are roads they aren't always going in the right direction.

NV 50 "America's lonliest highway".

Been down it twice in a semi. Want to do it on my bike at some point.

I only buy fast food when I'm actually in a hurry. It isn't like it's cheaper anymore. I got really particular about this during COVID when I watched all small business restaurants closed down (that was my parents career too...) While all fast food was allowed to operate.

I'll stop at a truck stop to eat when traveling before I'll stop at fast food.

I was driving down the freeway in my semi once and saw a Taco Bell billboard so I wanted tacos. But it's after the lobby had closed and they wouldn't serve me when I walked up to the drive-thru window. So I pulled my semi around and blocked both driveways until they finally agreed to serve me... 🤪

Yeah long road trips are when I eat the most fast food. I find it too hard to resist going to a sit down restaurant on vacation and not having a beer or two so I avoid that 😂

That's so dumb. We used to go through drive thrus on our bikes in middle school lol

Oh boy, this has me laughing. Me dad in Vietnam, would rather eat rations than eat local food as he likes to tell me.

I would go out at least once a month when I was in Korea. Ate a lot of the local food in Iraq and then in Alaska I ate a lot of the native dishes. And in Europe while not as different as other places I would try all the local foods I could in the places I visited.

One beer while you're eating is OK... With a camper on your truck you won't fit thru a lot of drive-thru so you still have to walk in. Might as well go to a regular restaurant then.

Yep I didn't understand but they said it was policy.

Did you try haggis?

Yeah that's true I didn't think about that. I haven't done much owning-a-camper. Do any of y'all just go into the camper and make lunch?

I don’t mind fast food but Culver’s and Chick filet are the ones that I’ve never understood their popularity.
