Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

Heading off to another VA appointment but also dropping off some slightly used part to a fellow forum member. Worked out that we could meet up so I could pass on some stuff.

Still haven't heard anything from the machine shop. Figured I'd give them until tomorrow to contact me before I bugged them. My guess is they are waiting on the parts.

You should call or drop by with some donuts.

Well let's see now. They are an hour out of my way so taking donuts to them?? I think NOT.. Call them? Yep that is the plan but I figured I'd wait until tomorrow to see if they called me first.

Got over onto the other side of the pass when I get a call from the CLIMB center telling me that the socket they needed to do the tests with today was delayed in UPS and wasn't going to arrive until tomorrow. OK no big deal I was already meeting a member to pass on some used parts so I kept going and made arraignments to come over tomorrow afternoon once we know that the socket will be delivered. Dropped off the parts and stood there and BS'd about Jeep and the bullshit on here for an hour or so. I'll let the forum member how received the stuff tell the story about what he got and his plans.

Gotta pass on used parts... and helping out fellow forum members.

I'll get there eventually... Although we did some "horse trading" already. I still have a new hood to sell or replace the one on the Jeep now when I make the switch to highline style fenders, and once I get around to installing the things I got from you I'll have a few stock parts (factory skids and front and rear sway bars) and a couple after market bumpers that will be free to a good home. I'm still contemplating sitching the hard top in favor of a Trek Top. I finally have all the parts I need for the soft top that was given to me...

The good thing about all this today was that I got to get paid to deliver the parts... Since the VA had set the appointment and I was already on my way they are paying me for driving over and back...So a Win Win in my book.

That was nice of them.

Do you know if they want receipts for tolls or do they just assume you paid them if it's the route they say to go? I just filed my first BTSSS claim this morning 😀

Luckily for me I don't have to pay any tolls on my way to the VA so I don't know if they want proof or not. Here in WA if I take the Hwy 522 bridge there is a toll but it's done off your license plate. Then the state will bill you.
And I really dislike the DAMN BTSSS system. I've had trouble filling it out before.

I read the other day, they’re trying to pass an all-lane toll highway in the Bay area right now.

Fascists.

Oh the pleasure is all mine. And I’m coming to your shakedown run, whether you want it or not..

Everyone is invited that wants to come. I really hope it's sooner rather than later.

We were just talking with Jeremy the other day, about how you gotta show us around the Naches area someday!

Dec15- Apr 1 all the good trails are closed to wheel vehicles so it'll have to wait until next year now. But when the trails open back up in April if it's been a good winter they can be a LOT of fun... But you can't have an aversion to MUD....

I guess I better get you a copy my schedule so you'll know what weekends I have off. In case you need an extra set of hands working on the Jeep or MH, also because I don't want to miss the shake down run!
