I can only find an extended lower gear selector up to 2002 models. Anyone know if a 2002 will fit a 2005?

You talking about the 4WD lever?

Picture?

The actual manual stick shift. Need an extender because of the body lift.

It’s a six speed. It’s my first jeep. New to the Jeep world. It’s a 2005 Rubicon 4.0 i6. It has a suspension and body lift. I have to take the plastic molding off so I can shift to 2nd and reverse. 4th isn’t too bad. I need an extension. Look completely different from the 2002ish models. Bear with me like I said I’m new to the Jeep maintenance world. Love the Jeep though!

I've never seen anything like that being offered commercially. I did the motor mount lift blocks and body lift and never had issues with the console on my '06 with NSG370. I did bend the shift shaft and add an extension under the shift knob, though.

Extending the shift lever won't change anything beyond making the lever taller. You need to raise the transmission, lower the body, bend the shift lever or move the center console.

I would agree here, and this is a total PITA by the way, ha. I got a sweet deal on a B&M shifter that has helped, but normally those are $600, crazy.

Life has me slammed, but I've got a Savvy Transfer skid that will lift it up and still haven't gotten it on the Jeep. That's probably the best way to get this fixed.

Bending the stick is the only other real option or cutting that opening until it's fixed.

I'd get a new inner shift boot while you're at it. They're crazy expensive and there's a hack build that looks good too, you'd be surprised how much head and noise comes from there.

Thats odd, as I also have an 2005 with a 6 speed. Mine has a 4" lift and a 1" body lift w/o any shifting issues. The only difference is mine is a Rubicon so it has a different TC. Also I do not have any type of TC drop, now when I shit into reverse mine is very close to the plastic trim but I have had a problem getting it into gear nor has it posed out of gear. Can you post pictures of your TC / Transmission from the underside

True, that's why I asked what height his body lift is and if there is a drop/spacer installed between the frame and the skidplate that holds the transfer case up. Too tall of a body lift or a standard body lift plus a dropped transfer case easily causes shifting problems for both the transmission and transfer case.
