IAC keeps going out

Hey everyone, I have a 1999 Jeep TJ 6-cyl. About two years ago the PCM/ECM went out on my Jeep, I replaced it and got it back up and running but ever since then I have had to replace the Idle Air Control Valve every few months. Everything would be fine and suddenly it would just go out. Just curious if anyone else has experienced a similar issue or could provide any advice. I really appreciate it.

I got the replacement PCM from a scraped TJ.

What do you mean the IAC valve keeps going out?

I would assume you’re getting a check engine light and code(s). Not all codes indicate a problem with a part.

When the IAC goes out, it either idles rough with an engine light or it quits completely and I have to continue to rev the engine to keep it running. So there isn’t always a reason to look for a check engine light when the problem is reoccurring and I already know what the solution is.
