Where’s Caldwell? You can call the DMV- get the number for one of the people that does off sight VIN inspection for a straight scoop. But basically it’s risky to sell a vehicle without title In Idaho for a business. maybe one of the Barger Matson lots, or independents might be better at keeping title. I think you missed where I am located….literally drove down the Nampa/Caldwell blvd past that u-pull yard this evening.

Yeah, if I had easy access to one, I'd do the same. But, I don't, and being retired, I have tons of time to take is slow and easy.

I’m in a similar situation but different ha. So I have my original tj 03 and purchased a tub and frame combo. Got the frame treated and body work done on the tub. Now I can get the guy to reply to swapping the title over to my name. I have my dash with title matched vin I was just going to swap the dash and call it a day with my original title. I am aware of the 4 vin number stickers in the tub, should I just swap those as well?

Really depends on your state laws and your willingness to bend them.

My 97 didn't have a sticker...the 2000 tub I used did. It has a plate on the floor next to the driver's seat.

I wanted the 2000 dash...it was in much better shape. I drilled out the pop rivets and swapped tags.

I haven't moved the floor tag and I kept the 2000 sticker. Might be able to use it.

No idea what Oregon laws are...but I don't really care.

Buy a tub out of state? Colorado? I'm in Michigan and I bought a tub in Indiana @ Baseline 4x4, they had two or three others when I was there.

We swapped tubs using our original dash and vin plate from under the seat retaining the original title,

When swapping a vin plate over check the pop rivets most manufacturers use a unique pop river with a scalloped or multi sided outer edge. I have seen these rivets on Amazon.

The plate under the seat uses regular Phillips head screws so nothing the give up the secrets there, maybe later years.

Same and two stickers on each side of the bed. One on the drivers door jam then one on the tailgate
