I need to get rid of my cherry bomb exhaust...Jeep is just way too loud.

Never mind it's bedlinered...needs a bedrug too...

Was buying Accel coil on plugs for my F250 and noticed this on sale...

$178 for stainless.

I probably could buy a muffler for $50 or less and use the torch, grinder and big blue squirt gun...

Anyone have any experience with these mufflers?

I’ve always had good luck with a flow master muffler and the banks stainless tail pipe. Price wise you’d be close, but you’d be able to choose the sound you prefer.

I am currently running the Dynomax 19391 turbo muffler and 2.25 tailpipe kit. It fit very well, seems well made, and has a stainless angle cut straight tip. It is all aluminized rather than stainless so it’s affordable. It is not loud at any time but you know you’re using the gas pedal when accelerating.
That Hooker kit looks like a great deal if the tailpipe fits over axle and around the shock. The image of an installed kit looks promising.

another option for you if doing the cat back system. Sound preference is so subjective and to your question with any experience with that muffler- there is no case length, chambered or baffled (likely) information- call the tech line?

If we make some assumption on the hooker it’s baffled and similar to the walker w/ 18” case. It won’t drone, quieter than the glass pack but it’s going to be a noticeably sportier exhaust Sound. Basing some of my questimate on 22” similar baffled muffler magna flow 2.5“behind a 4.0 that I had.

I agree sound is so subjective. I think anything will be quieter than what I have.

The welding on my current exhaust looks terrible...makes me wonder if I can find enough clean pipe out of my existing CAT to sleeve this one on.

If I do this I also need to put a flex coupler on the down pipe...did I mention I already have Banks headers...and I bought a V band clamp to put just forward of the CAT. Make it easier to take some sections of the exhaust off... especially since I'm done with four laps of rear main seals and seven transmission pull/reinstalls.

Great price for a stainless cat back. I have the dynomax turbo cat back on my YJ and it sounds good. But it's not stainless like this one.

Go to your local (!) non-chain muffler shop, they'll install a high quality system for less than those online sources do. Not to mention if you don't like what you bought online, what are you going to do, remove and ship it back which is a huge PITA? I hate mail-order/online cat-back systems... overpriced and too difficult to do anything about it if you don't like the sound. Buy locally, keep your local friends and neighbors employed. And if you don't like its sound, they'll replace the muffler with something you'll like better. Avoid chain muffler shops like Meineke or Midas. They have corporate quotas to meet and they'll be more expensive.

All depends on if you live where they salt the rds.

But my 06 factory stainless system is still fine after 250K and 17 yrs.

On the 3rd system of non stainless on my 92 after 31 yrs and 300k on the 92. OEM and then 2 Dynomax Turbos.

And the only salt mine sees is when I go to TN in the winter.

I think that is the Go sign to Mac- make the purchase!

report back with your unfiltered review. 😁

Well….. got it installed yet? I want to hear it before I order one. My oem with 200,000 miles is falling apart so I gotta order one soon or do something.

Arrives next week and then I need to schedule between horizontal snow storms, blowing sleet and freezing temperatures!

Checked the tracking number and Tuesday night by 7 pm. So maybe Wednesday!
