Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

Today I made some inserts for my D-rings where I attach my tow system for the Motorhome. 1-1/2 square 6061-T6 milled down to fit D-ring and receivers. Need some? Dang rain started after my final coat and messed up the paint. So I will repaint this weekend. Have to Love Washington weather!! Hit me up in a PM If you want some.View attachment 29110 View attachment 29111
That's a great idea. Looks like Roadmaster base plates.

In August replaced my starter with a lifetime rebuilt Oreillys starter. Starter stopped engaging properly and had a grinding against the fly wheel....SO another Oreilly starter replacement. Will not continue to buy stuff like this from them. Bought a power steering pump for my Ford 7.3 Diesel, four hour job, guess what, it is out.

Oh yea, almost forgot. Got the angry sparrow noise from the center of the jeep. Didnt want to get out and under in zero degree weather so had all front and rear u joints replaced with spicer on both drive shafts along with the centering ball. Even though they didnt present any slop, all three u joints on the front drive shaft were completely shot and I mean shot. I was on the verge of a catastrophic failure and mucho money. Glad I read on this forum not to screw around with this issue and parked the jeep for two weeks until this was done. Crisis averted.

Ya I tend to buy factory parts if I can, If my vehicle gets too old I find good brands and tend to stick with those. This forum is great for that because we have a lot of first hand knowledge for the most part of what works or not, so going to Oreillys may not be bad if you know what you are going for. If you ask for your part by part number and brand you are ahead of the game.

I once bought a lifetime starter for my CJ 7 and went through 5 in two months so they decided to back out of their warranty and just give me my money back. Luckily for me it was a pretty easy R&R, but finally I went to Napa and bought a name brand and never had any issues. The warranty was less but it didn't break, and it was more expensive, but again I didn't have to keep removing and reinstalling it.

On this forum I have seen threads about wiper blades. You can get good opinions on just about anything here.

Sorry about your Ford. I had to do a power steering box on one of those and it was like removing and replacing a transmission. I do not envy you.

Good luck!

Finished up installing my lift on my LJ. Had a cheap budget boost before from the PO that made the 33in tires rub. Now the tires are completely free. Took 4 panful days to complete.

Currie 4in lift (adjustable TB and all Control Arms)
Rancho RS500x shocks
Currie anti-rock
Currie rear lower shock relocation brackets
Rubicon Express adjustable rear TB (emergency buy)

Now I just need to dial everything in, such as centering the wheels in the wheel wells. I know the wheels move in an arc, but its too off center and it really annoys me haha.

Nice work! You saved an arm and a leg doing it yourself. It’s all yours now too!

Installed new fog/driving lights... I think they're too small... ack! Oh well nooB jeep owner rookie mistake :/
I like that they’re low profile. May not give you the light you’re looking for though.

did you a salt neutralizer to spray the underside? I just ordered some salt away to do the bottom of my vehicles
What’s up with this salt neutralizer? I’ve been hesitant to wash my jeep due to reading about washing underneath just spreads the salt around and into small spaces. Does this neutralizer somehow eliminate that?
