MasterCraft Seat Install Question

I'm looking at installing a pair of MasterCraft Baja RS seats but the left side TJ adapter kits are not available and MC has no ETA.

I'm wondering if the right side kit might work well enough to at least get the driver seat installed. Looking at the parts, I'm guessing the fold-forward release lever is the only different part but would like confirmation.

So I'm looking for details on the TJ adapter kits. Are they needed at all? What's the right-left difference?

Also, MC currently has a 10 week lead time but the standard configuration Baja RS seats are available on eBay if you believe the ads. Has anyone purchased MC seats on eBay? If so, did you end up with what you expected or did it go south?

I called MC and asked what the difference is between left and right side adapter kits. The guy on the phone couldn't answer, said I was welcome to try the passenger side on the drivers side but can't return it to them if it doesn't work. He reluctantly took my number to supposedly have someone who knows the product call me but I doubt I'll hear anything. Not too impressed with their phone support at this point.

I can’t remember what mine were like. @DaveF more recently installed some and messed around with the brackets.

As I remember the brackets worked on both sides. I had a hard time getting them from Northridge. They sent me the same side by mistake and they worked.

I touched on my install a little bit HERE. I ended up removing the 'spacers' because it made the seats sit way too high. If you have some flat bar and a drill, you can install these seats without the brackets.

I ordered mine from AutoAnything only because a 20% off coupon worked and the lead time was close to 10 weeks even though they were 'in stock'. I have a MC dealer close to me (Rusty's Offroad) and had planned to call them and see if they stocked the seats.

Those seats are going to sit up very strait. They feel good, but you will probably want to get spacers from Home Depot to put them slanted back.

Installed them on 06 LJ Rubi... the seat belt brackets were basically a thick 90 degree angled piece of steel that at first glance looked identical, but the pre-drilled holes were spaced slightly different, and it one side didn't fit right on the other. That's the only difference between the sides that I can recall off the top of my head.
