What did you do to your TJ today?

Well I had a very productive couple days working on the jeep.

Installed:
savvy 1.25 BL
RGA front and rear USA axle shafts with new timken unit bearings
Currie currectlync steering
Savvy cable shifter
Front bartact seat covers

Also changed the oil, differential gear oil, ATF in the transfer case, MTL in the transmission, and greased my control arm joints.

Tomorrow I’ll install the MML and flush the brake fluid then I should be good to go.

I started to install the front antirock today but I have a parts issue with it so that will probably take a week for the replacement part to get here, when it gets here I’ll install the front antirock and then find a buddy with a welder and install the rear antirock. I currently don’t have a rear sway bar so hopefully this will be a big improvement.

It sure doesn’t seem like a lot when I type it out, but I was busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Got the new KM3's put on and man do they ride smooth and quiet. Only complaint so far is they run a little small. These 35's look like 33's

I checked my coil spring measurements (it has been a while) but since the parts are incoming, I figured I'd record my starting point.

I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like these original springs have all lost somewhere around (at least) 1/2 inch in height.

Then I came in and ordered new bump stops for the front. I forgot I didn't replace the fronts when I did the rears a while back. The rears had dry-rotted and worn to nubs; the fronts still looked good at the time. I figured I'll be in the area anyway, might as well do it.

Thanks to the generosity of @Moglocker my Jeep no longer looks like a $2 hooker on main street!!!!!!! It acquired a goth look kinda like Ami Lee from the group Evanescence!!!!!!

I'll be doing the same...springs n shocks in the next month or so... still cant decide which ones to pair up.

With wanting to keep the stock height on my LJ, I felt my options were limiting. If I wanted to raise it, more possibilities; but that's not where I wanted to go. I don't know to what degree it matters in the rear between TJs and LJs (if at all) but I found nothing specifically for LJs. You'll most likely have better luck.

For me, giving up the springs made for the vehicle and replacing them with a 'close-enough' isn't the greatest feeling. However, it's probably for the best to keep the vehicle in decent rolling shape as long as possible.

I simply wish there was a one-for-one aftermarket progressive spring like I'm replacing. Will I even notice the difference with the Moog springs? Probably not; it's just the principle.
