Let’s all be honest, we all come from different walks of life. With that comes many different life experiences, opinions, and financial wellness. Not all members can afford the same things, not all members have the same knowledge of mechanics, and many of us have learned the hard way.
This is a great forum, members can bounce ideas off one another, and have open discussion. It’s obvious that members such as Mr. Blain and Jerry Bradford and others have vast knowledge of the Jeep TJ. These people are willing to advise from an educational stand point. I personally believe they should be thanked for their willingness to share. I do not know either of them personally, but I know when I bought my ”Big Brake Kit” from Black Magic I had a few issues during install and not only did Mr. Blain call me back immediately, he called me back a couple of times to just check on me, that was before I even knew about this forum.
We all know various products are superior to others, with that comes an increase of cost. It doesn’t mean that all other cheaper products are junk or not worthy of being purchased. With that being said, I have read in various threads, where one member basically is telling another member that they purchased “POS”, wether it be a cosmetic or mechanical part Just because that is not what they have. It’s great to advise before the fact, but not to criticize after unless your truthfully trying to correct a problem.
These are just my thoughts after reading a couple different threads in which I believe a member was proud to have added or purchased something for their rig to only be criticized by someone later.
I’m thankful for knowing we all have a place to go to for great information, enjoy talks of interest and even harass a little in a joking way!
