Greetings programs , so I'm working on my tj and I'm still dialing in the welder I recently bought lincoln210 mp with .035 wire and 75/25 gas. The holley mounts are 1/4 inch steel and the frame ears that I'm welding too appear to be 3/16 steel. My welding chart says I should be somewhere around 18.5volts but after taking to several peolpe they've told me anywhere from 19-21 volts. I know the voltage varies per machine and mine burns hotter than my shops 256 lincoln. I have gotten the horizontal pass down pretty good but I'm getting some issues with the vertical mig, vertical stick is much easier in my opinion. I started using the upwards triangle motion recently and that has seemed to help. Any professional welders in the group that can lend some words of encouragement? Should I be burning hotter than 18.5 going vertical ?

Thanks for tagging me in this. Helps me to keep the site clean and organized.

People are constantly posting in the how-to section when it doesn't belong in there (y)
