Vote for the better 6.5" speaker

Information on imaging and soundstage from Crutchfield for the best audio experience. This information itself shuts down 6.5" speakers right next to your ear.

Imaging
"Although the front and rear speakers create the soundstage, it should seem to come from in front of you, filling the space from left to center to right."
You can get this effect by having all the speakers the same, and polyfiling the front speakers just a little bit.

"The speakers themselves should seem to disappear, replaced instead by a spatial arrangement of music sources, or soundstage."
You also get this effect by having the front and rear speakers the same size and manufacturer. Cutting the natural sound from the rear speakers, using 6.5" speakers in the soundstage, defeats this purpose. Having all the speakers the same, helps accentuate this idea.

There are other statements in the above article that supports 5.25" speakers all around for the best soundstage and imaging experience.

I just installed Polk DB652s and they sound pretty good.
I feel like I got a good deal on Amazon for them, and I'm very happy with them.

I got the Polk MM652, they are like the DB 652 but marine rated, wider frequency response, better sensitivity and adjustable angle tweeters (not sure if the DB is adjustable) plus a nice port on the grille. They sound fantastic.

Every Polk I've heard sounds like and S. The hiss is horrible. Memphis and hertz sound good. If you want the best, find some Focal's. And a pdx v9 5 channel amp. And some JL audio 10s.

Gavin Newsom, please stay in your lane. The left/slow lane. Putting 4x6" speakers all around would be perfect.

I'm really just not going to dignify this comment. Assuming that everyone from California is like Gavin Newsom is beyond me. There is a word for it but I just won't stoop to calling such names.

Yep. Underdog is from Rhode Island, and I doubt he would ever have supported Gavin Newsome. Underdog was a canine with taste. He only dated Polly Purebred. Obviously he wasn't turned on by mongrel bitches.

Haha. I thought a little levity might ease tensions 😁

Yeah, that other comment nearly brought it out of me, but I had to remember that I'm a dog with class and taste. Some people just seem to get their rocks off trying to push other people's buttons. I have to keep reminding myself that my buttons are broken and have been broken since I turned 55. Yeah, it took awhile.😋

I think Blam’s are likely the best. Then JBL, Polk, Skar in that order.
