Tranny or transfer case issues?

Hey guys, need some help with my 05 unlimited rubicon. Well, it’s kind of a rubicon. I got a good price for it because the owner before had changed the axles to standard lj axles. I thought the price was good and it would be a fun project to remake it into a rubicon I guess. Anyways, I recently bought the Jeep and I started to have an issue when I would shift it into either drive, reverse, first and second gear. It makes an odd like it’s struggling to change gears. I’m also having issues with the 4wd shifter being very tough. I’m not sure if this is causing some issues. I’m sorry if this isn’t the correct thread. Thank you for any help cause I need it! Lol
