Greetings....... I'm having an issue getting my front driveshaft. I ordered a new driveshaft on 11 January over the phone - can see the charge on my account statement. I gave him the required length a few days later. Almost 2 months later and no driveshaft. I've called him several times and there has always been a reason - family issues, etc, - and I was sympathetic as I didn't require the driveshaft yet (replacing my AX-15 after something broke inside and doing the clutch at the same time). But now after almost 2 months I'm getting a little upset. Anybody else having any issues with Tatton. I see he still has a lot of items advertised on ebay. Any suggestions?

I can't say I've ever seen anyone mention them here. Most of this forum is Adams or Tom Woods homers. I would simply let him know that you're going to have to cancel the order if he can't deliver, and if that turns into a problem your credit card is your ally. Either of the places I mentioned can have you rolling in 3-5 days.

Seems like a lot of reviews cite the same issue. Depending on how you payed you may still be able to file a charge back. Most banks have a time limit for filing so I wouldn't wait. If that is the level of service they offer I would cancel the order even if he promised to ship today. I've used Tom Woods in the past and their sales, service and support are amazing.

Have your credit card company reverse the charge, that's effing ridiculous. Talk with Shawn Wood (Tom's son) over at https://4xshaft.com/ and they'll get you set up without problem. I'd have them build it with Spicer 5-1310x u-joints.

This, and start a 3rd thread to see if you get a different answer…

😳

I have a Tatton front driveshaft. It works great. He's local to me so I just went to his shop. I can't vouch for his current business status but he's a legit builder.

I have front and rear Tatton driveshafts. When he sent me the front shaft with the wrong u-joints installed (I specified Spicer white seals) he made me another front shaft and sent it so I wouldn’t be down waiting on it…

I can say both shafts run extremely smooth and were the exact lengths I needed…

All that being said, he is slow to respond and slow to ship sometimes. I went through eBay every time so there would be some accountability. Worked well for myself, albeit not so well for others…
