Replacing my rear dana 35 axles with chromalloy axles and re gearing from 3.07 to 4.56. spider gears are chipped but I don’t have the money to put in a whole locker. currently running 33s and want to stay that size for awhile because she is my daily.would a limited slip differential be a better option to complete my super35?

I would save for a locker. A LSD doesn’t do anything if one tire is off the ground.

A Super 35 kit is more than just replacing the stock axles with aftermarket axles. You also want to use 154H1 and not 4340 shafts as the 4330 shaft do not wear properly on the bearings.

A Super 35 kit changes your stock spline count from the stock 27 spline to a larger 30 spline shaft. There aren't any LSD type differentials that are offered for the 30 spine shafts.

Here's the kits offered in the Super 35 type of lockers.

I did something very similar. I just put Tru Track limited slips front & rear on mine. It works really well for me. I understand your budgetary concerns, but if your going to install limited slip or lockers, the time to do it is while you’re in there changing gears. It saves labor costs.
Many here have advised against going larger than 33” tires if you’re staying with the Dana 35 rear end. I’m staying with the 33s because I’m old & it’s already hard for me to climb up in there. ☺️

If you can find a carrier that accepts the 30 spline "super 35" axles that isn't a locker, I'd like to hear about it. I don't believe one exists.
