I installed the new summit racing foam in my 98 tj front seats and I sit to high up now. Have y’all noticed over time this foam will breakin and settle down some? After I install diver down seat covers I really feel I sit to high up.

I’ve had the lowers since their release and helped beta test the uppers. I’m 5’6 155lb and even for me the first few months I felt like I was sitting on phone books, especially compared to my original 2002 foam. That said, they have broken in comfortably and can do a full day wheeling without any lower back pain and I’m happy with my driving position.

I’d give it some time depending on how much butt in seat time you have regularly, or if you’re on the taller side, look into the seat lowering brackets.

I installed summits foam in my 06 this May, and yes I am sitting higher. I didn't think my old foam had settled that much. But I like it, went for a week long trip and my lower back did not bother me as bad. I guess the foam will settle in time.

I’m 6 ft and I’ll just have to drive it more to break them in then. I didn’t know they make a lowering bracket but I’ll just have to drive it more in hopes it will breakin. It feels weird for how high up I sit like I had to lean forward as I couldn’t see the red light change.

I have another question, I’m redoing a hardtop and before I set this top I want to change the folding window seal and upper window seal. Any good brands I should go with?
