Went wheeling in the Santa Fe National Forest with @TJ Starting and @Desert Roamer today. They live in Texas, but @Desert Roamer met me when he came to buy a set of beadlocks I had for sale. He mentioned how he and @TJ Starting wanted to do some snow wheeling, and I told him if they ever wanted to come up this way, I'd take them out.

A plan was hatched, and we met this morning, along with my buddy Adam. He's a Toyota guy, but has forgotten more about wheeling than I know, so we can forgive him the toyota love.😁

We started in Espanola at about 5000 feet elevation, and ran some fun trails.

We finally got in snow that was just too deep to keep going at about 2pm, around 9200 feet elevation.

We turned around and started heading back, and Adam suggested another trail on the way out. I had to bow out, because I had to get home to give my dog his meds, but the other guys continued on.

It was a fun day in the snow, I got to use some of my recovery gear, and I got to hang out with 3 cool guys and my son, wheeling, eating sandwiches, and BSing. I'll call that a win.

Now that looks like fun 😀
We don't get to do that very often in Louisiana , however two weeks ago there was just enough here to play for a couple of days .

Heck yeah! I'm from Natchitoches originally, so I get it! Nice LJ. I love the red steelies with moonies. Very classic look.
