My stabilizer is leaking and needs replaced. Anyone have any input on the Rough country premium N3 steering stabalizer?

I found one on MP for about half the cost of a new one.

X2, plus I wouldn't use a gas-charged shock like that one is RC is using for a steering stabilizer. They tend to be continually trying to push the steering to the left since gas-charged shocks are always trying to expand outward. Stay with a hydraulic steering stabilizer like the above recommended Monroe or the Rancho RS5000.

This is what is in there now. The rubber boot is shot and the case is rusted through.

Definitely time to replace that. I'd start soaking those nuts in some penatrating oil now just to make the job easier. There is no need for a boot. It will just collect dirt and water. I don't recall if the Monroe even comes with a boot. If it does just chuck it in the trash.

X2, use Liquid Wrench, Kroil, or Break-Free. Don't waste your time or $$$ on PB-Blaster or WD-40, neither are good as a penetrant.

I have had the steering damper installed for a bit now. I have noticed two things since the Monroe SC2928 went on. The action from the steering wheel when hittings bumps is reduced by quite a bit. The wander from the steering is GONE...

Thank you so much for adding an update, it really helps the rest of us!
