I’m about to drop a wad on a new windshield frame for my 05. Curious if I should replace my inner/outer windshield seals? I’m leaning YES, obviously the Cowl/header are getting replaced - just not sure if they are “a must replace.” They don’t look worn - but that doesn’t mean they’re durable.
Appreciate it.

Niether are a seal. The inner one generally lasts alot longer (looks better) than the outer one. The outer one only needs replaced if/when it gets hard and/or starts pulling out around the corners too much for you to like.

If I still did glass I'd use the more rubbery kind on the outside, the harder plastic kinda sucks even when new.

I just did a windshield frame swap on my '05 (to the older style windshield) along with new glass. I assume you're replacing the glass? I would, and did, do new everything.

Hey man sorry for the late reply- got the frame installed and used the original gaskets/trim. The inner still looks mint, but the outer has slight gaps on both edges of the windshield. Do you have a part # for the softer recommended outer? Appreciate it.
