Removeable speakers?

The factory sound system in my new to me 2005 TJ is terrible. I'd like to have speakers mounted to the roll bar verticals in back facing forward that I could detach and place outside when camping, etc. I think it'd be fine to just use my phone and a couple of high power bluetooth speakers but there is no way I know of to keep them "On" and ready to pair because I want to use them as the car stereo as well. Therefore I may have to go with a new head unit and have passive rear speakers I can detach and place outside with speaker wire. Anyone tried anything like this and if so what did you use?

This is what I do, sounds like a lot of work to design a removable audio system.

You can look into marine speakers though, they will mount onto a rollbar and some of them have a pivot capability at least?

Check out Crutchfield.com for their ATV/marine speaker systems.
They should have plenty of options to consider.
They probably also have a BT receiver module that you'll need to make things easy on the installation.

There is a ton of them for the water ski boats...they are called tower speakers.

Imo simply replacing the OEM radio with an aftermarket HU that has good RMS will make the stock speakers sound 100% better, but I have the center console sub. I'd start with a new head unit and see if you need to keep going or not.

These little Boomjacket/Lifejackets are bad ass. I use one in my garage and for camping. They have mounts similar to GoPro to clamp onto things & are made to be dropped, kicked and submersed in water. That being said I'm on the wakeboard/Tower speaker idea. Hard wire speakers to Jeep and throw one of these in your tool bag
