Owner was Robert right? I bought my first set of Curries from him but when I wanted a set for my other rig he refused to work with Currie so unfortunately I had to go elsewhere.

What does he mean by lost his son and wife?

There are ways that you can lose someone that can be fixed, there are ways where it can't. I hope he's able to overcome whatever he's dealing with.

Sad either way, especially this time of year.

Regarding the Jeep, I'd be tempted to buy it and swap the motor with my LJ and maybe a few other parts, but probably not a reality for me since I just bought a house and in my second week of escrow. Just seems that at the price he has it listed, I might be able to swap in my motor (around 100K) and still sell his for around the same price. That would work better if both Jeeps were the same year and trans (mine is 06).

Too bad Robert isn't running Rawk Haus still. He did good work. Though the last axle I bought from him, he was saying Currie was going to change how they work with people like him. I bought it right at the end of the year and he had said that I better buy it before Jan 1st or he might not be able to get it at a price worth it to him. That was a few years ago.

Don't know if he would still do gear work. I did refer someone to him about a year ago. They left him a message and he didn't return the call.

Currie essentially took all the small dealers like Robert and either removed or lowered their discount enough that they couldn't compete with the big guys like Northridge. Then they eliminated the "custom" axle program which all of us depended on to get axles exactly how we wanted them and they moved to Off the Shelf in that they only build to their specs, not yours. We have not used or purchased a Currie axle since. They are either too wide or too narrow.

That's disappointing. Probably not a lot of off the shelf options for a TJ. So is Dynatrac the best option now?
