Ok since since all 8 of my harbor freight jack stands have been recalled I decided it’s time to quit being silly and by quality ones.

Can someone recommend a quality brand/type?

Considering that all 8 would have to fail at the same time, I think I would just keep using them. 😉

I use UniJack. I have two. I could use more! They are a little slow, but they are safe. Only about $60/each. They are small enough to take on the trail if you don't want to depend on the stocker

I've got some duralast 4&6tons. I like them okay. They were on sale at AutoZone.

If I were in the market for new ones, I like those screw type jackstands that I always see on carshows n stuff.

I have one set of Torin big red 6ton (pep boys) and a set of Astroline 6ton (don’t think those are made anymore).

I have had them for a long minute now and also use them on a 3/4 ton diesel. Been good stands.

In my opinion if you want the best get some Hein Werner 6tons. I would like a set but no reason to replace equipment that is working.

I bought four 6 ton jack stands from US Jack years ago.

We use the Napa Auto brand at work. If they can hold up a Kenworth water truck, I think they can pass muster.
Lincoln manufactures NAPA lifting equipment. We used the same thing at work. Good quality. Not cheap though.
