So this happened while 4 hours from home. I found a "certified welder" to reattach it well enough to get me home but man is it fugly. Lot's of metal just globbed on. He didn't attempt to clean anything or clamp it in place. I'll have to remove it and try to weld it back better than he did which is a low bar but I'm not a great welder either. I'll post up some pictures of the current "fix" when I get motivated enough to get under it and start working on it.

This was a shocker to say the least. I was down in the bottom of the Dolores River gorge near Cortez, CO which is a well-maintained dirt road when this happened. I don't do any extreme rock crawling and I was just recently under it looking for cracks and must not have seen cracks that had to have already been there. I had been chasing some vibes and they were not as bad on the ride home after the "fix". From the picture, it looks like it had been pretty badly cracked for a while before finally letting go. I think it must have been contributing to the vibrations.

This is the upper rear on the driver side. Anybody else experience this?
