After receiving new LED tail lights for Christmas I have encountered an installation problem that I am unable to solve. I cut into the old lights wires and installed the new ones. The Left light worked fine but the Right light and thread brake light did not. I did not unplug the stock connectors on both sides when installed. After going up through the bottom of the Jeep I can see the connectors and the end coming from the stock harness has 4 wires going in and 3 coming out of the connector going to the tail light. I did ground the LED 's.

Ideas, advise and suggestions in educating me would be greatly appreciated. I am finding it hard to believe how dumb I am getting as I get older.

I don't know how those LED light assemblies were designed but the factory tail lights require that they be screwed onto the tub so they get properly grounded. Without the ground connections they won't work. Have you screwed yours onto the tub yet?

Can you swap the lights to see if the one that works will operate on the other side? This will tell you if it a s wiring issue or a bad light.

LED are polarity sensitve so you want to check that. Post up what lights you have and maybe we see what is going on.
