Newer owner here. The images show my rear upper coil spring buckets. I understand they are very rusted, but I am wondering how safe or "correct" this is. How urgent is it that I get new buckets installed? Thanks

Pretty corroded. It looks like the spring isn't centered on the passenger side. Is the bump stop there? Also, since you are from Michigan, many here are going to wonder about the general condition of your frame. Is there bedliner or some such coating sprayed on it? If you haven't already, you should give it a careful look including inside with a borescope. They generally rust from inside to out especially between the front and rear upper control arm mounts.

That’s fine. The weight supported on the spring is on the outside and very well structured to the frame. If you can’t thread the bump stop cup in then maybe replace it then but that will get by.
