Pinyon Mountain Road (S. CA)

I ran this trail for the first time with my 14 yo son and a buddy in his JKUR on Saturday.

We had a great time, this was a longer trail that was about 35 miles of off road driving in total. Very picturesque as the trail winds through canyons, washes and plenty of low desert cactus and agave.

The onx app rates this as a 5 difficulty, which I think is fair. There are 2 major obstacles, the squeeze and heart attack hill. Neither were difficult for the TJ, just requires a good line choice.

It's getting harder and harder as they get older and have their own schedules and activities, but I'm definitely taking them out with me at every opportunity.

My 3 oldest were wheeling at 6, 4, and 3. Then my youngest from the wonderful lady i am married to now, and her older brother and sister were wheeling at 15, 14 and 11.

The youngest and her husband now have a CJ7 they mostly ride back roads.
