99% sure it’s just my ignition switch. I replaced it with a cheapo brand last year…this is the first time a cheap part has let me down. It’s been a-ok until just now. Tried to start, just accessories. Not sure if fuel pump came on. Eventually it cranked over and started.

When I got here I killed it, and tried to start it back up. No dice.

So now I’m at Braums finishing my cone, hoping it has one more start in it.

I guess I’m buying the Mopar when I get home.

I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've been let down by cheap replacement parts. That would be my first suspicion in your case.

At least it isn't a radiator, heater core, or something much more labor intensive.

What had me really confused initially was that I've been working on that 02 with all the wiring problems and on that one the starter relay is one of the micro relays and is in the same slot as the fuel relay on my 97. So I initially tried to jump the wrong relay. On the 97 the starter relay is the big Bosch cube style on the back corner of the PDC.

But in other news, my cheapo ignition is still a-ok. I got it home and started it like 5 times in a row, no issue whatsoever. Will I accept that I rolled the dice this time and still order the Mopar ignition like I planned to, or will I continue to tempt fate and dance with the one I brought? If you don't know my choice, then you haven't been paying attention.
