So here is my dilemma.. I have a pair of 97 TJs. And a 48 willys. So the perfect body sahara with 96k miles has suffered from frame rot. The other 97 has a good frame but the body and engine/tranny are at 220k miles.
Option 1- Get rid of good frame TJ and get a new JL. (wifes option)
option 2- Play Jeep Lego version and combine the two to make great TJ ( my option)
option 3- get rid of both TJs and get a new JL and invest money into Willys.
I don't know what to do, as I love both my TJs and I a bit of a hoarder when it comes to Jeeps. Just looking at what others would do.

If selling off the two TJs would pay for the JL outright, I might go that route personally, but not sell them and have to shell out more $$ to purchase the JL. 2 or 4 door JL?

Yes I would buy the JL outright with no payments....I would get the rubicon JL 4 door. but she says if I am getting that I would have to sell the high mileage TJ. I think I may just do that. I am at least keeping one TJ. Now the price to sell the TJ for......

Gotta love first world problems like this. ;)

I can't imagine selling a TJ with 220k on the clock will bring you much to offset the price of a new JLU-R. Good luck on the sales and new purchase, either way your gonna have a nice Jeep or two!

EJD- the wife said to sell the older TJ and put that money into the Sahara...The JLU will be paid for from other funds...

Swapping body/frame is a lot of work, more than most people realize. I myself would sell them and move on to something new.

My opinion is do the swap part out when done.. I have always like the challenge.

You know the history. Do you have the ability?
