My NV3550 just died and have heard many times over that the AX-15 is a good replacement. Was looking at buying the Advance Adapters new but was quite a bit more than a rebuilt. What am I gaining with going new?

Brand new AX-15 from Novak would be my vote. Just bought one last fall and no complaints. New is just under $500 more. I also had the NV3550 in my Jeep.

NV3550 in my 2000 shit the bed back in November.

Took some deliberation but in the end I opted for the Novak AX-15 as well. Can't say I have any complaints other than that Novak offered a 5% discount to forum members a week after I bought mine. Timing is almost everything.

Go for new. Peace of mind is priceless.

+1

I would also trust new over the quality of rebuilds these days.
