Ok, in swapping back to stock fenders, i’m wondering how best to deal with the LED side marker and blinker lights that are wired in as a part of a system.

They all work 100%, so i’m assuming that they were properly wired in/converted?

Can i just snip off the ends and wire up to a set of LED stock replacement sockets to go into the factory housings?

Something like this:

Remember when Altoids used to look like those lights?

Or…i could take the opportunity to go back to stock. I’m fine cutting and splicing, as long as I have a good roadmap and some quality replacement parts…

but i’d probably have to investigate how they installed everything to make the LED’s work

Ok, I’ve visualized where the LED’s were spliced into the factory harness. I have grey and black/yellow on one side and tan and black/yellow on the other.

Question: Is there a big benefit to running LED’s in the flashers/marker lights from the factory harness point of view?
Is it less of a load on the system? Meaning if the LED’s work is it worth it to keep them if i can, vs going back to stock?

Btw, this is the flasher relay that’s installed at the MFS (if i’m correct that this is where it lives on the 2004):

Well, ordered some tj-specific LED light housing assemblies for the front/side marker lights. We’ll have to see what they look like when they get here.
