Hi all:

'98 TJ, 4.0, manual. The ignition switch won't turn from the off/locked position, just stuck. Key goes in and out fine. Wheels aren't jammed into a curb (rocked the steering wheel a lot). Tried WD40, dry lube, jiggling, whacking with a hammer, etc. I have two keys, no difference. I found the thread on fixing the cylinder once it's out but I have to get it out! Any other tips/hacks to make it turn?

Thanks!

You will need to disassemble and remove the cylinder to inspect the rod between the cylinder and the ignition switch to see what is locked up or jammed.
There are many videos on YouTube on how to disassemble and what to look for.
