Tested blower motor, works fine when connected straight to the battery. Every single fuse on the jeep was replaced 3 days ago. Don't have any speed so I don't **think** it's the resistor. Clicking noise behind glovebox when I turn the knob to max speed though. Sounds like it's coming from the fuse panel. Pulled #8 fuse out and it's starting to turn brown unlike the rest of the fuses which all look pristine. Any ideas? Would very much like my ac/heat back. Going to try replacing the blower speed switch tomorrow to see if it does something but🤷‍♂️

My son's is doing something similar. His is definitely the fan speed switch. He can tap on it and it comes on.

Maybe an off the wall suggestion, but my blower motor issue was the ignition switch.

My problem started out with an occasional airbag light.

Then that got more frequent and when the light was on my blower wouldn't work in any position.

Then one day out of the blue it occasionally wouldn't start and I knew the battery was good.

Some research led to the ignition switch (the electrical switch) and $50 later there are no more problems.

Takes about 30-45 minutes to swap while taking your time, and most of that time is dealing with the plastic cover over the column.

You'll need a T10 security bit to remove the switch.

the clicking turned out to be my blower motor relay. Switched it out with a brand new relay and the clicking has become more rapid. Thinking there has to be a short somewhere. Thankfully I don't think the wiring harness for the system is massive so it should be easy to pull

Im having this exact chain of symptoms - and banging the bumping the bottom of the column has been my solution. Whatever is failing makes good contact 50% of the time...but that percentage has been dropping. Now i know what to replace!
