I know the socket size needed but is a deep socket required? I have a 36mm 1/2" deep socket that has been my trusty tool to remove it but lately I have had to use my 2 ft socket wrench with a 3/4 to 1/2" adapter and the deep socket but it broke last week. It's the 2nd time it broke but it is a NAPA Lifetime part so hopefully they replace it again. I want to avoid this again and get a 3/4" 36mm socket from HF. I have a 25% off coupon but they do not carry a deep socket in that size. I never tried a 36mm regular socket on the hub nut so...will it fit or is a deep socket required?

I’m mad because I just went through this & can’t remember. I believe I used a 36mm shallow impact socket. Don’t quote me but I highly doubt I use a deep socket, the nut just didn’t require it.
