Had a great day yesterday with one of my sons and a couple of buddies running a great trail here in socal I'd never done before called Heartbreak Ridge. Trails Off-road rates it a 4/5 which I'd say is about right. It's a lesser traveled trail in the big bear area compared to the BOH trails that get most of the traffic. I'd say it's about as difficult as Gold Mountain.
My TJ is still on open diffs and 33s, but i was still able to handle the obstacles on this trail by picking good lines. It was an interesting contrast running this trail in a TJ along with a Gladiator Rubicon (size isn't all it's cracked to to be ladies.)
We ran a shorter trail nearby called Tip Top Mountain too, this is the peak with the Line Fire burning off in the distance.
