Recently purchased a TJ from a friend who is not a Jeep guy. He knew very little about the jeep and the existing modifications from the previous owner. I have a long list of parts, repairs, and maintenance that need to be completed before getting this thing on the road.

I am new to TJs and wanted to ask some questions pertaining to the Currie 60 axles.
⁃ I know they’re Currie 60 housings. I’m not certain of the internals. Does have ARB lockers F&R. Did Currie only sell these axles as complete axles or could you purchase just the housings?

⁃ I do not know the gear ratio at the moment. What is the best/easiest way to identify the axle ratio?

⁃ If I am being honest with myself … these axles are far more than what I need. I will get off road or on a trail maybe twice a year. Life is busy with two little ones. Is there a demand for these axles? I was thinking I could sell or trade into something more reasonable for my needs. Possibly use the money to fund the necessary parts and repairs needed to enjoy this thing daily.

⁃ other than the obvious…. Strength & clearance …. What are the pros and cons of the Currie 60s?

Thanks in advance.
