I've been wanting to go back to the steel wheels for a while just because I like how they look. (ya I know not a popular opinion).
Started with this:

Cleaned them up with a scouring pad and sprayed with with Rustoleum turbo gloss clear

Been eyeballing these tires at Walmart since they came out. They are on rollback now for $72 each so I bought a set of five.

I mount and balance them myself with a HF tire changer and balancer. Also a Nomar bar works good and a custom built duckbill bar.

They took a lot of weight. 2.00-2.75 ounces each which is a lot especially for static balancing and especially since I match mount them opposite the heavy part of the wheel to cancel out. Each steel rim was only about .50oz out. The Goodyears I am replacing were all less than 1.00oz.

One new tire/wheel and one old tire/wheel.

And all done. Seems to ride good and about the same noise level as the Goodyears. I like those wheels and tires too for the retro look.
