Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

Bought my first Jeep, but it needs alterations (or I need to find a different TJ)

So I’ll be replacing these tires and other things, but I’m looking for a 35 inch tire that is more for highway than trail. Could I get away with a 33 inch tire?

Any recommendations?

33s and 4.88s work... manual transmission?

I put a Red Head steering box in my 97. It worked. Steering boxes can be pretty hit or miss. I choose Red Head because WA is close enough to drive to if I needed to throw it on their desk.

Adjusting your camber is pretty easy. Whole write up on how to align your Jeep in the resources section.

Check the axle vent and make sure it's not plugged...if it's plugged the axle will vent out the seals.

Yeah it’s 5-speed. Think 1st gear would still be useful in town on 33’s with the 4.88 gears?

Oregon has hills and my 97 was great on 4.88s and 33s and much less so on 35s. Even though it's only a few hundred RPMs it sucks climbing hills on the freeway at speed.

I think you'll like 33s. I like BFGs. KO3s or KM3s if you want more aggressive tread.
