I ordered a set of grab bars from this vendor. What showed up was NOT for my Wrangler. The return process is nuts. I will never, ever deal with this business again.

That's odd.

Not sure if they're known for bad service or not, but I've ordered over $3k worth from them over the months, and haven't had an issue.
A few returns in the mix as well.

Try to return something.]

I use Paypal. If someone sends me the wrong item, the company has someone (UPS/FedEx) pick it up or I get to keep it and get a refund too. It's not the customer's responsibility to pay to return a wrong item.

This doesn't answer anything. Not every company is Amazon where you just click return and drop it off at UPS. What have you done to communicate with the company? It's not uncommon to see people have a minor inconvenience and just rush online to bash an established business without communicating. Kind of like LJ eluded to, without a more detailed explanation, your posts just sound like whining. Help us understand what's going on.

Now, does it suck that you ordered something and received the wrong item? Absolutely, but businesses (read "people") make mistakes. I assure you that someone didn't intentionally send you the wrong part just to piss you off, they don't know you. There's probably someone else dealing with the same thing just with your Jeep part. It sucks, but work through it.

I doubt it could be any worse than Horizon Hobby. I returned a $400 RC crawler and it took 8 weeks and a customer service rep to get accounting involved before I got my refund. I'll be er buy directly from them again, it'll be through a third party.

My wife ordered some shoes right before Christmas and a package showed up but inside was someone else's shoes and an invoice with the actual buyers contact info. The vendor wanted her to send it back, then wait for it to deliver and then call them again to get what she actually ordered.

Instead, we contacted the guy whose order she received, and wouldn't you know it he got my wife's order. So they just shipped what they had to one another and skipped Famous Footwear entirely. It cost them shipping between Oklahoma and Texas but they each had their stuff about 2 weeks earlier than they would have.
