Axle Swap Brake Lines HP Dana 44

Hi! I’m a long time lurker, just purchased my TJ used a couple months ago but have wanted one forever. I come from a JLUR but wanted something a little more dedicated and simple.

I’m half way through my 1976 F-100 Dana 44 high pinion front axle swap and I’m hung up a bit on the brake line situation.

I ordered the original front brake lines for the f-100 and planed on running an extension from the frame hardline to the pig where I would tee it off to the f-100 stock lines, ultimately blocking off the unused port at the prop valve. But when I actually got into it I noticed I might be able to just get some yj lines and keep the brake lines separated from the prop valve.

Why question is, which of these methods would work better? Is there something in the prop valve that would put it off balance by blocking off an unused port? I noticed my TJ banjo bolts fit in the f-100 calipers just fine, but from researching it looks like the f-100 is supposed to be 3/8 while TJ stock is 10mm, so I’m not sure why that works.

Any chance anybody had experience and / or advice? (Pics because why not)

Stock TJ banjo bolt is 3/8-24. The combo valve plumbing for the front lines is just a Tee internally and one of them being capped off doesn't matter. We do it that way pretty often to run a single line down the upper to a Tee on the axle.

When I did my HP44 I had some new brake lines made to use the stock TJ lines at the frame and with the correct size banjo fitting. I had a 5" lift so also needed longer lines.

During my current rebuild I went to a single front line. I just capped off the unused port. It worked fine either way.

Can I buy lines to go from my tj frame connection to the block on the ford axle? I guess I'm looking for brake lines with one end TJ and the other ford, does someone sell these or will they need to be custom made?

I had a longarm on my TJ at the time & was running the Ford JB6 calipers and if I remember correctly I had 15" or 18" long hoses. I could be mistaken on the length. But the Ford caliper uses a larger banjo bolt than a stock TJ so I had custom lines made for mine.

Spoke to you awhile ago about an old thread HP 44 swap. I finally got axle in last weekend, LT1 corvette engine is next project for it, Thanks for answering any questions I had

I get that you might not have emission testing where you live but you do understand that according to the EPA this is an illegal swap? Just trying to pass on information.
