Axle seals for HP Dana 30?

My 1999 TJ has a HP Dana 30 from a XJ, would it still use the same factory TJ axle seals or do I need to return them and get axle seals for a XJ? If I need XJ seals is there a certain model XJ that had the HP Dana 30?

I don't known the answer, but you could drop onto rock auto and look up that seal for each vehicle. If they can each use the same part number that may answer your question.

There is a difference in Dana 30 axle seals used in the older (84-90) XJs vs the Dana 30 used in the newer (91-99) XJs.
Find out what year XJ the differential came from (if possible) so you can purchase the correct axle seals.
Depending upon the year XJ Dana 30 you may also run into a problem purchasing the correct brake rotors.
