62mm throttle body / spacer combo

I know a pretty common mod is going to a 62mm throttle body and corresponding spacer. Is anyone running this and did you find it worth the money and effort? What kind of difference did you notice? Thanks!

Complete waste of money unless you''re planning on porting the intake and cylinder head. You don't gain more power unless you open up the entire intake path.

In addition, throttle body spacers do not offer and gains on fuel injected engines. That only works on carbureted vehicles.

Thread '62mm throttle body'

From what I understand the ID of a throttle body on a TJ 4.0 is 60 mm. For a better engine output a 62 mm throttle body is suggested must I buy the bigger one or can a engineering workshop modify it to 62 mm. What are the pros and cons of a bigger throttle body. Thanks.

Yep, you'd just be wasting your money unless you're going to do some engine work.

The best thing I can recommend for a noticeable increase in power is a tune from FRP (@Flyin' Ryan Performance). He tuned my PCM and it was night and day!
