Hey guys, I'm looking to do a 5.2 in my 2002 Jeep TJ with a 5 speed, the factory motor is the 4.0 as it's a sahara. I know I need the bellhousing out of a dakota from a 3.9 but I'm wondering what are the possible vehicles i can get the 5.2 magnum out of that would make this swap easiest? I know the ram 1500 is the most common but I was wondering if there's certain years in particular that would make this swap even easier? Or using a 5.2 from a durango or a dakota or a grand cherokee and what certain years to use? I have read the "Mini bible" but I'm just looking for my year specifically. Thanks!

It doesn't matter which year or model you get your 5.2 out of. It can be a Ram 1500 or Dakota or Durango or Grand Cherokee. Now your wiring harness will be easier to work with if it comes out of a Ram 1500 or a Dakota.
Since you are doing a manual you're better off to just add the two additional injector wires and other sensors than to use the whole harness like when doing a automatic swap.
