What's everyone's thoughts on these 392 wheels on an LJ.

I originally wanted 16" 8 holes in silver, but I like the look of these despite them being about as opposite as you can get from my original desires. Currently my rig has 17" JL Rubicon wheels and 2" 5x4.5 to 5x5 spacers the PO installed. I'm regearing to 5.13 as well. I sent the seller a question about load rating on the tires. I think I'd still need 1.5" spacers with these.

If you like the look go for it. I personally don't like wheel spacers or adapters. I'll run them on my tractor but not anything I'd take on the freeway.

It's a challenge to find wheels that will work without spacers, especially used. I have a 16" big brake kit. I know some folks have been able to squeeze 15s on them as there are very few properly backspaced 16s and 17s.

Just remember that moving wheels outward, no matter how you do it, will increase strain on your ball joints and bearings. Not saying you shouldn’t do it but just realize that those parts will likely have a shorter lifespan. But do what you like because it’s your Jeep. Make yourself happy!

I run spacers on my JK wheels creating an effective backspacing of 4". Has this created a scenario where the strain on the ball joints is any different than a wheel without spacers that is also a 4" backspacing?

Seller dropped the price to $1200 but when I had her take a Pic of the rating they were "E" rated, so no go for me. A good deal for somebody with a truck.

All told, I have about 100k miles with spacers of some kind installed on the Jeep. Most of that has been highway miles. All of it without any problems resulting from a wheel spacer being there.

Again with my experiences with such things....

Mine has had several E and C rated tires on it. Never has there been a discernable difference in any of those 6 sets of tires that I could assign to the load rating.

I'm not arguing for or against those JL tires and wheels, but the decision has nothing to do with the need for spacers and very little to do with the load rating.

They look fantastic on a TJ or LJ. I went back and looked at my notes. From what I wrote down there are two different XR wheels. One was 17x7.5 with a 44.45mm offset. This netted a 6" BS wheel. The other was 17x8 with a 12mm offset, netting a 4.97 BS. Both wheels work well with adapters but require different size adapters. The first requires a 2", while the second needs a 1" adapter.

They look great. I'd need to talk her down to maybe 600 to make it worth my while since I'd be taking a chance on the tires. I doubt she'd go that low. If you look at the marketplace listing, the rings are pretty torn up too, but I suppose that would happen eventually anyway.

Those are definitely beat up!

We've run E , C and passenger car tires and noticed very little difference in ride quality . The tires have been all-terrain .
Keep in mind that all tires are not created equal . Until now , we had only run Cooper at3 tires rated E , C and passenger tire . Now we are running Falken at4w tires in a C rated tire that doesn't seem to ride as well as the Coopers . However , it's not Apple's to Oranges because the C rated Falken's are 33 and weigh 14 pounds more than the E rated 32 inch Cooper .

I would avoid using wheel adapters unless they're solving a problem. Otherwise, I would stick with wheels that don't need spacers.
