2004 lower dash switch panel in a 2002?

My 2002 has the switch panel with switches for rear wiper and washer plus a blank, a cigarette lighter and an ash tray. Will the 2003-06 panel with 4 switches, 2 12v outlets and no ash tray fit in the dash bezel? You'd have to cut out the part that the ash tray mounts to. thanks

Not sure what you mean. Is that a switch panel you can get that fits in that hole in the bezel or is it fabbed?

Then you cut out the dash like you're planning on doing and it bolts right in.

Just another option. Can't speak to your plan A since I did this method. Not saying your idea is bad or anything...just sharing my path.
