Jeep sat for 4 days. Started up with no issue. Drove in pouring rain for an hour. Started next morning fine. Went to leave work and jeep would not start. Dash turned on and it clicked when turned key. Next day it started right up. Let it run for an hour, pulled in reverse and it stalled. Attempted to restart- after 4th attempt it started right up. Popped in reverse, accelerated and it stalled again. Would not restart until a few more attempts. Started, drove fine with multiple stops. Restarted fine 3 times between stores. Next morning would not start. This time completely dead. No dash lights or beeping. AAA checked battery and alternator and both are good. Started righ up a few hours later But now stuck at 2k RPMs and revs on its own periodically to 2.5 RPMs. Next day completely dead again.

Welcome to the forum. When you get the chance fill out your profile. What year? Which engine? Which tranny? Any mods?
I’d start looking at places that have loose connections specifically maybe on the firewall where the computer sits. Might have gotten some water intrusion if the connections are loose.

One other thought. If you pull the plugs off your computer pull the negative battery cable first to keep from blowing the computer. Blow it out with canned air. Don’t use dielectric grease on the pins. Make sure you use caution plugging it back in and don’t bend pins.

Cranking and not starting or not cranking?

With the key in the run position and transmission in neutral jumper the little wire on the starter to the big wire and see if it starts.

Also would be a good idea to check your fuel pressure on the Schrader valve on the fuel rail (year depending) or listen for the fuel pump to cycle when turning the key to run.
