Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Great, then I would stick with this BLAM package and it's a solid combo. Yes, the P805 will drive the MSP35 and Relax 130s very well, but the amp has more power on tap than those speakers and sub need, so set gains conservatively. This will be a great set up. If you have questions setting up...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I like your thinking here, but the amplifier is not the best match, a little too powerful. Did you look at the same subwoofer, but the active version with a built in amplifier? That would require more wiring, or we can look for a different 5 channel amp. Love your thought process though...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I am trying not to spend your money, and give you the best budget friendly advice. So, if you would like to add more, you definitely do not want these two sets of coaxial speakers, one a 4" with the 0.8" tweeter and a 5.25" with the same 0.8" tweeter. If anything, you would want a 5.25"...

Go measure and see if you can get a 39" wide box in the rear footwell. You will get your answer very quickly.

    DIY Speaker Pods

I have a dual 10" in my way back and I feel it throughout the cabin. That Kicker is great choice, look at their dual 12" boxes and throw it in the way back. I made a quick disconnect so when I need the rear cargo space you can easily remove. My 2 cents...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I like these BLAM Relax a lot and would say yes, regardless if you have the Kicker K, C or D series. Kicker is good stuff but I just like BLAM more. If you want to spend the money go for it. If it is not in your budget then stick with Kicker.

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I am going to throw option 3 at you. Take a read/look and let me know what you are thinking after this. First, the amplifier is not just for bass, it also helps the main speakers shine, they will sound cleaner and crisper. You must get an amp, I highly recommend. The BLAM speakers are rated...

Aftermarket subwoofer replacement for factory subwoofer?

Yes, depends on the amp, gut generally speaking just add an LOC to your shopping list. Example is https://www.crutchfield.com/p_161LC2IB/AudioControl-LC2i-Line-Output-Converter-Black.html Bunch of forum threads on this topic if you search around. One brand sells plug n play gear, but very...

This is why your dash speakers suck

Awesome list! This is a great job and @Chris should somehow extract your post and sticky as audio housing options. One item you left off are the Valicar custom tweeter pods one could place on their dash or a-pillar. https://www.pods-tweeters-midrange.com/pods-for-tweeters

Kicker CS 5.25s too weak, any car stereo guys here?

If they were too lweak for you, look into the BLAM relax series. Inexpensive and 2ohm, play loud, crisp and clean with a simple amplifier like soundstream or soundigital. If you want to go loud loud loud, then PRV is the way to go. Amps and speakers.

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Well, there is always room for improvement, and the reason i recommend Soundstream is due to the small size and price, which makes for an easier install in the TJ. If you want to look at some higher quality amps, this Kenwood is a solid choice for your current build, Polks plus a Kicker in the...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

Hey there JMT. I think you may have a solid amp for your application. That Soundstream gets the job done. Any reason you want to possibly change? That amplifier has a fifth channel, and is rated 2ohm/350 watt, so instead of the 2 ohm DVC kicker sub you selected you should opt for the 4 ohm DVC...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

For the basic set-up the BLAM relax series. They come in 5.25", either coaxial or component. Incartec is the best online place to purchase. Inhighly recommend to pair with a proper amplifier. I used to call it the BLAM 3-pack for the TJ. Two sets of these speakers with the BLAM amplifier. Just...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

I couldn't disagree more with you and have no idea where to start with all this bad information. All audio installs should take a similar approach and process to map out what they can accomplish. No way will polks and a kenwood single din get the average person the desired results or 75-80%...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

You really need to figure out a few things before asking for recommendations. What is your budget, what music do you play most, will you install and what is your skillset, and finally how donyou play music, am/fm radio, cds, stream, all the above? Do you just want a new head unit or do you...

Upgrading the sound system on your Jeep Wrangler TJ

For your use case there is no need for the double DIN. Save that money and use your phone, or even a retired old phone that you can store lots of music on so you can stream/BT to your amp. Look into one of these camera systems, both front and back cameras and is installed where the rear view...
